The New REDD: Reducing Emissions from Deforestation with Drones

Two weeks after the murder of four Asháninka in the Peruvian Amazon, indigenous leaders Cándido Mézua of the National Coordinating Body of Indigenous Peoples in Panama (COONAPIP) and Henderson Renjifo Hualinga of the  Interethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Rainforest (AIDESEP), together with representatives of Panama’s National Environment Authority (ANAM), will announce today the use of drones to patrol their forest.
