Watch Live: Climate Talks Resume As Familiar Rifts Emerge

11 December 2014 | 19:51 GMT | LIMA | Peru | Climate talks here are resuming at 3pm local time (20:00 GMT), and a trimmed text is expected to be proposed by the G-77 and China as an alternate to the 50-page document that emerged overnight. The larger text contained strong language on “recognizing the social and economic value of voluntary emission reductions activities and the need to consider them as units of convertible financial value,” but was trimmed after least-developed countries lined up behind China and India, which have been pushing back against the creation of Intended Nationally-Determined Contributions (INDC).

The talks will be live-streamed here.
